A full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with school-based experience is needed to provide district-wide coverage for approximately 12 weeks beginning August 27, 2026—the first day of school. This contract role involves working with Pre-K through 12th grade, allowing you to apply your skills across all age groups and support diverse learning needs.

You’ll collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists to deliver therapeutic interventions, actively contribute to students’ educational goals, and document progress in a caring and team-oriented setting. The schedule is anticipated to be approximately 7–7.5 hours per day, with final details pending confirmation by the district.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Active COTA license/certification (Connecticut DPH license and NBCOT exam completion)
  • Experience in a school-based setting preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work with Pre-K–12 students
  • Reliable transportation to travel between district sites
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Comfort collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Responsibilities:

  • Implement occupational therapy treatment plans under OT supervision
  • Support student development and achieve IEP goals
  • Maintain accurate records and document session outcomes
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other educational professionals
  • Travel between schools within the district as needed
