Step into a rewarding role as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting students across five schools for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to work collaboratively with a dynamic occupational therapy team and make a meaningful impact on young learners from preschool through 8th grade.

As a valued member of the educational community, you’ll provide essential therapy services to help students achieve greater independence, confidence, and academic success. This position involves working district-wide, sharing a manageable caseload of approximately 65 students alongside an Occupational Therapist, allowing for teamwork and professional growth.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Licensed and certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), eligible to practice in CA
  • Previous experience in a school-based environment or pediatric setting preferred
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques for diverse age groups and developmental needs
  • Organizational skills to efficiently manage documentation and daily scheduling
  • Responsibilities Include:

  • Delivering occupational therapy services as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Supporting functional skills development, including fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive tasks
  • Consulting with teachers, parents, and other staff to support students’ IEP goals
  • Maintaining accurate records, progress reports, and compliance with state/federal regulations
  • Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to multidisciplinary planning
