In this role, you'll provide essential support as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), collaborating closely with licensed occupational therapists, teachers, and families to help students achieve their fullest potential. With a consistent schedule of 25 hours per week—5 hours per day, Monday through Friday—this position allows for work-life balance and dedicated time to focus on each student.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid COTA certification
  • Previous experience in a pediatric or school-based environment strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and collaboration
  • Ability to follow treatment plans with attention to detail
  • Adaptability and creativity to engage students with diverse learning needs
  • Core Responsibilities:

  • Implement Individualized Education Program (IEP)-driven interventions under the supervision of an occupational therapist
  • Assist in developing and executing engaging activities to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills
  • Document students’ progress and collaborate with the educational team regarding outcomes and adjustments to programming
  • Support classroom participation and inclusion through targeted strategies and modifications
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute positively to the school community
