Key Qualifications:

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with active and valid licensure
  • Prior experience working in pediatric or school-based settings is required
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and families
  • Ability to adapt interventions to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Commitment to fostering independence and skill development in a school environment
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services as planned and supervised by an OT
  • Assist students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills for classroom participation
  • Collaborate with educators and other support staff to integrate strategies within daily activities
  • Document therapy sessions, progress, and outcomes accurately and timely
  • Contribute to IEP meetings as needed, providing valuable input on student needs and progress
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant policies and state regulations
