Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Active Washington state licensure, or eligibility to obtain prior to start date
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting highly preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt therapy strategies to individual student needs
  • Familiarity with IEP documentation and progress reporting is a plus
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct therapy services to students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
  • Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans addressing students’ functional, sensory, and motor abilities
  • Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, and self-management skills necessary for educational success
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, families, and other school staff to promote student progress and participation
  • Monitor and document student progress, maintaining accurate records in compliance with school and federal guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to developing goals and strategies
