Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active COTA license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Valid Illinois state licensure required
  • School-based experience is highly valued
  • Ability to work as an itinerant provider, traveling between different elementary, middle, and high school locations
  • Expertise supporting children and young adults from Pre-K to age 22
  • Willingness to complete strict credentialing requirements (including mandatory fingerprinting)
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services in a variety of school settings
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising OTs and IEP teams
  • Carry a caseload that may vary by assigned sites, adapting seamlessly to diverse student needs
  • Document all sessions, progress, and relevant data with professionalism and accuracy
  • Engage actively with educators, families, and support staff to optimize student functionality and independence
  • Navigate between assigned campuses as part of a collaborative, supportive therapy department
