Position Details:

  • Contract duration: January 2027 through May 2027
  • Full-time: 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Serve elementary school students with diverse needs
  • Qualifications:

  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Massachusetts (COTA MA)
  • Experience providing occupational therapy services within educational or pediatric environments
  • Solid understanding of school-based COTA practices, intervention strategies, and individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Skilled communicator dedicated to fostering positive rapport with students, staff, and families
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, individualized occupational therapy interventions to elementary students as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Support students’ development of fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities for classroom participation
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to monitor progress and contribute to IEP development and implementation
  • Maintain detailed session documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and district procedures
  • Adapt to multiple classrooms and student needs, demonstrating flexibility and creativity in therapy approaches
