Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting students across four schools near Arlington, TX. This itinerant role offers the chance to collaborate directly with an Occupational Therapist and make a meaningful impact on up to 60 students. The assignment runs from August 6, 2026, through May 27, 2027, covering 37.5 hours each week, with all school locations conveniently situated within a few miles of each other.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Current, valid COTA licensure required
  • Experience in a school setting is highly valued
  • Familiarity with ESPED (IEP System) is preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Adaptability to rotating among multiple close-knit locations
  • Commitment to fostering student independence in educational and functional activities
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of an OT
  • Implement individualized treatment plans to promote student success in academic and daily living tasks
  • Support the development of fine motor, sensory, and self-regulation skills
  • Document sessions, progress notes, and communicate case updates in accordance with IEP requirements
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to reinforce strategies in the classroom
