Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential—active and in good standing
  • Experience working in a school setting preferred, but not required
  • Ability to implement and adapt therapeutic interventions under the supervision of an OT
  • Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
  • Organization and time management skills to manage caseload requirements
  • Comfortable working with children of various ages and abilities
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver prescribed occupational therapy interventions to students as directed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
  • Assist in developing and maintaining individualized treatment plans to meet students’ educational and functional needs
  • Document student progress and communicate effectively with the educational team
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal-setting
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement strategies in classrooms or other school environments
  • Support the development of fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills aligned with each student's needs
