This contract opportunity is ideal for a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who thrives in diverse school environments, helping children and adolescents maximize their educational experience. You’ll work closely with licensed OTs and school teams to implement evidence-based interventions, address functional goals, and foster independence for students at various grade levels.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current COTA licensure in Missouri.
  • Previous experience working in elementary, middle, and/or high school settings is preferred.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, staff, and families.
  • Familiarity with school-based therapy, IEP documentation, and progress monitoring.
  • Adaptable, compassionate, and able to manage a flexible caseload across multiple grade levels.
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Carry out treatment plans developed by an Occupational Therapist for students with a range of needs.
  • Provide direct services individually or in groups, focusing on skills such as fine motor coordination and sensory processing.
  • Collect data and track student progress, contributing to comprehensive IEP reporting.
  • Utilize creativity to adapt activities and learning environments for student success.
  • Collaborate with educators, OTs, and other specialists to deliver integrated support.
  • Participate in school team meetings as needed to advocate for student needs and goals.
