Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current Illinois COTA licensure or ability to obtain
  • Experience working with early childhood or school-based populations preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based, student-centered practices
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy interventions to early childhood students as outlined in IEPs
  • Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and other school staff to support students’ functional abilities in the school setting
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Participate in IEP meetings and assist in the development of goals and strategies
  • Offer consultation and support to staff and families regarding students’ needs
  • Adapt and implement therapeutic activities to promote skill development and participation
