Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California
  • Previous experience working in a school-based setting is required
  • Familiarity with supporting elementary caseloads, adapting interventions to meet students’ diverse needs
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, students, and families
  • Ability to maintain detailed and accurate documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Occupational Therapist with implementing student support plans and interventions at Franklin elementary
  • Provide direct services to elementary students onsite, helping them develop skills necessary for academic and social participation
  • Contribute to IEP meetings and collaborate with educational teams to ensure coordinated, student-centered care
  • Adapt therapy strategies to the unique needs of each child, encouraging progress toward individualized goals
  • Remain compliant with all regulations and maintain confidentiality and professional standards at all times
