We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a supportive school team in the Sacramento/Roseville area. This is a great opportunity for a COTA who enjoys working with children and wants to make a meaningful impact on students' academic, developmental, and functional success.

The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist and collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
  • Implement individualized treatment plans and therapy activities
  • Support students with fine motor, sensory, visual-motor, and functional skills
  • Monitor and document student progress
  • Maintain accurate therapy and service documentation
  • Collaborate with OTs, teachers, special education staff, and other members of the school team
  • Participate in IEP meetings and student support meetings as needed
  • Create a positive, engaging, and supportive therapy environment
  • Qualifications

  • Current California COTA license/certification
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Pediatric or school-based experience preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Passion for supporting students and helping them reach their goals
