Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) working in dynamic educational environments near Kansas City, MO. This assignment runs from August 24th to October 30th, providing crucial leave coverage across several engaging school sites.

You'll have the flexibility to design your weekly schedule—with initial guidance—to ensure students across Oakwood Manor Elementary, NKC High School, Gracemor Elementary, and Northgate Middle receive consistent, high-quality support. The role involves serving a caseload of approximately 32 direct students, delivering about 800 minutes of therapy services weekly. Expect to enjoy a full-time workweek, with typical hours from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, totaling 7.5 hours each workday.

Essential Experience & Qualifications:

  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Missouri
  • Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric occupational therapy setting preferred
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and managing a rotating schedule
  • Passionate about fostering student growth in diverse classroom settings
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, following individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate closely with supervising therapists, faculty, and staff across assigned schools
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services and progress data
  • Adapt interventions and strategies to best support students’ success and participation in school activities
  • Ensure consistent service for all assigned caseload students each week
