Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Illinois
  • Experience in school-based settings or working with K-6 populations preferred
  • Knowledge of IEP processes and relevant documentation procedures
  • Skilled in providing therapy interventions under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, students, and families
  • Adaptability and creativity in therapy session planning
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to K-6 students according to established goals and IEP requirements
  • Support implementation of individualized plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
  • Assist students in developing functional skills for classroom success and daily activities
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and reporting in compliance with school guidelines
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote student participation and independence
  • Participate in team meetings, in-services, and school-related activities as needed
