Step into a rewarding school-based opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, supporting students in grades Pre-K through Transition (up to age 22) across several campuses near Schaumburg, IL. This full-time contract role, beginning August 27, 2026, and concluding June 9, 2027, places you in an itinerant position, working between multiple elementary, middle, and high school sites within the district. Your flexible schedule will span 35 to 37.5 hours weekly (7 to 7.5 hours per day), aligning with the varying start and end times of assigned schools.

Qualifications and Skills Desired:

  • Current COTA license through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Active Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) educator license
  • Experience working in school-based settings, particularly supporting diverse age groups, is strongly preferred
  • Must be comfortable working in-person (this role is not open to VOCO/teletherapy)
  • Ability to adapt and travel between school sites as part of an itinerant caseload
  • Completion of fingerprinting and onboarding requirements within a set timeframe

  • Delivering occupational therapy interventions as guided by student IEPs
  • Supporting students’ development of motor, sensory, and adaptive skills for success in educational environments
  • Collaborating with teachers, families, related service teams, and school administrators
  • Documenting student progress and maintaining required records
  • Participating in IEP meetings and assisting with the development of therapy goals
