Position: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: June 17, 2027
Pay: $35–$45 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–3:00 PM
Hours: 32.5 hours per week
Grade Levels: Kindergarten–12th Grade
Caseload: Approximately 57 students districtwide
35–40 students receiving direct services
Remaining students receiving consultation services
Team Support: Collaborate with an OT who works three days per week
Service Model: The OT and COTA share responsibilities, with the COTA primarily providing direct services
Responsibilities
Provide direct occupational therapy services to K–12 students under OT supervision.
Implement treatment plans to support students' fine motor, sensory, and functional development.
Collaborate with the supervising OT, teachers, and special education teams.
Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
Support student goals outlined in their IEPs.
Qualifications
Active Massachusetts COTA license required
Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Strong communication and organizational skills
School-based or pediatric experience preferred
