Key Skills & Experience:

  • Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, with credentials appropriate for school-based practice.
  • Previous experience within a school setting is highly desirable.
  • Ability to create and implement intervention strategies tailored to each student’s IEP.
  • Strong organizational skills and willingness to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Effective communicator with students, staff, and families.
  • Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP guidelines.
  • Document progress and maintain accurate therapy records.
  • Support the lead OT in assessment, planning, and program evaluation.
  • Develop and adapt activities to foster student independence and participation.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting.
