Step into a dynamic opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) supporting students across a diverse district. This contract position offers the chance to work onsite and make a difference by addressing a variety of OT needs within multiple school settings, including five schools as well as NPS & SJCOE students. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to foster an inclusive educational environment, directly impacting student growth and engagement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid CA CPTA License (required)
  • Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt to various school environments and caseload requirements
  • Understanding of IEP process and effective documentation practices
  • Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services for diverse student caseloads
  • Implement individualized treatment plans as prescribed by supervising OTs
  • Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success
  • Accurately document service delivery and student progress in accordance with district policies
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student evaluations as needed
  • Use creative problem-solving to address student needs and promote classroom participation
