Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Maine (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Experience working with children or adolescents preferred
  • Understanding of IEP processes and documentation
  • Comfort working collaboratively with OTs, teachers, and families
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions to students under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
  • Support students' functional and academic goals in both group and individual settings
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records
  • Assist in developing classroom strategies for students with varying needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings, as needed, and contribute to individualized planning
  • Communicate professionally with families, staff, and multidisciplinary team members
