What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students as directed by Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Implement therapeutic activities and interventions under the Occupational Therapist’s supervision
  • Foster skill development in areas such as fine motor coordination, sensory integration, self-care, and academic engagement
  • Maintain precise documentation of sessions, progress notes, and service records
  • Collaborate with educators, caregivers, therapists, and other school staff to achieve student goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team efforts
  • Ensure that all services comply with local, state, and federal guidelines
  • Cultivate a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes student growth and safety
  • Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Active Florida Occupational Therapy Assistant license or current eligibility
  • Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in working with children and adolescents who have a range of abilities and needs
  • Familiarity with school-based therapy models and the IEP process
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with a collaborative spirit
