Desired Qualifications:

  • Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California
  • Previous experience or practicum in elementary school settings is preferred
  • Understanding of pediatric occupational therapy, especially as it relates to school-based interventions
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators and families
  • Ability to organize and manage a varied caseload effectively
  • Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to student needs
  • Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services under the direction of an Occupational Therapist
  • Support students with activities to promote fine and gross motor skills development
  • Implement individualized education program (IEP) goals through tailored interventions
  • Document student progress and assist with goal-setting and progress reporting
  • Provide input and participate in team meetings to create optimal support plans
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive setting where every child feels valued and encouraged
