Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Short Term

Location: Philadelphia, PA
Hours: 32.5 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Start Date: September 3, 2024
End Date: Until Permanent Employee is Hired

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and fully licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a short-term assignment. This role is crucial to providing consistent and high-quality occupational therapy services to students aged 5-21. The position will start on September 3, 2024, and will continue until a permanent employee is hired.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students according to individualized therapy plans.
Assist in the development and implementation of therapeutic activities designed to improve students’ motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and other school staff to support student goals and progress.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and student outcomes.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) as needed.

Qualifications:
Current certification and licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in Pennsylvania.
Experience working with children and adolescents, particularly in a school setting, is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
Must be fully licensed and available to start on September 3, 2024.
