Job Description:
We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our school-based team. As a COTA, you will work under the direction of an Occupational Therapist to support students in developing the skills necessary to participate in their school activities, including fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care tasks.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapy goals.
Provide direct therapy services to students, focusing on improving skills for daily school activities.
Monitor and document student progress, sharing updates with the Occupational Therapist and educational team.
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support students’ functional abilities.
Help create a positive, engaging, and supportive environment for students to learn and grow.
Requirements:
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Florida.
Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Passion for working with children and supporting their development.
