Full-Time School Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – Apple Valley, CA ($38-40 hr)

Blazerworks is excited to announce an opening for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a full-time position in Apple Valley, CA. This role is for the 2024-2025 school year, where you will work closely with students, educators, and therapists to support the development of essential motor and life skills in a school-based setting.

Position Overview:

    Responsibilities:

  • Assist licensed Occupational Therapists in providing services to students with diverse needs.
  • Support individualized student treatment plans focused on improving functional skills, mobility, and daily activities.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to maximize student success.
  • Document and track student progress, ensuring compliance with state and school regulations.
  • Participate in IEP meetings as necessary to discuss student progress.

    Requirements:

  • Valid California state licensure or eligibility as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
  • Previous experience working with children in a school setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
