Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our school-based team in Norton, CA. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide therapy services to students with diverse needs, helping them to develop and improve their daily living and academic skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Occupational Therapist in implementing treatment plans designed to improve students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills.

Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups, following the OT’s guidance.

Monitor and document student progress, and report observations to the supervising OT.

Prepare and organize therapy materials and activities that support the students' goals.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy strategies into the classroom environment.

Maintain accurate and timely records of therapy sessions and student progress.

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

Valid COTA license or certification in California.

Experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
