Job Title: Remote School Occupational Therapist

Summary: We're seeking a Remote School Occupational Therapist to provide teletherapy services to students requiring occupational therapy assistance. Your role will involve assessing, planning, and implementing therapy interventions remotely. Collaboration with school staff, parents, and caregivers will be crucial to fostering student success and independence in the virtual learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.

Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings and student objectives, focusing on improving functional skills and participation in academic and social activities.

Utilize evidence-based interventions and virtual tools to conduct teletherapy sessions addressing students' occupational therapy needs.

Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapy objectives into the virtual classroom and home environment, offering strategies and accommodations to support student progress.

Continuously monitor student development and adjust therapy interventions as required, using data-driven insights to ensure effective outcomes.

Provide consultation and training to school personnel, parents, and caregivers on implementing strategies to support students' occupational therapy goals in remote learning settings.

Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and communication with stakeholders.

Requirements:

Hold a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Possess Washington state licensure or eligibility as an Occupational Therapist.

Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

Previous experience in school-based occupational therapy is advantageous.

Proficiency in utilizing teletherapy platforms and technology for service delivery.

Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for effective remote work.
