Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) – Full-Time | School-Based | Sandy, OR

Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTAs) for a full-time, school-based position in the Sandy, Oregon area. We are seeking professionals who are passionate about making a difference in students’ lives by providing high-quality occupational therapy services in an educational setting.

Position Overview:

  • Location: Sandy, OR and surrounding school districts

  • Position Type: Full-Time, Contract

  • Start Date: Immediate

  • Contract Term: Remainder of the current school year, with renewal opportunities based on performance

    Qualifications – Required to Apply:

    Applicants must meet the following Oregon state and local requirements:

  • Associate’s degree from an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Current Oregon COTA license through the Oregon Occupational Therapy Licensing Board

  • Active NBCOT certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)

  • Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred

  • Must be able to pass background checks and school district onboarding procedures

    Typical Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist

  • Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans focused on motor coordination, sensory processing, and functional school participation

  • Document and track student progress toward IEP goals

  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, families, and other professionals to support student success

  • Participate in IEP meetings and help develop appropriate accommodations and goals

  • Promote student independence and engagement in the classroom and school environment
