Blazer Jobs is actively seeking an experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a part-time contract position within a school-based setting in Rio Vista, CA. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience in special education settings who are passionate about making a positive impact on students' lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Occupational Therapy Services: Implement therapy plans designed by Occupational Therapists to support students with various needs, including those with special education requirements.
  • Develop and Adapt Therapy Activities: Modify and adapt activities to meet the specific needs of students, ensuring that therapeutic interventions are effective and engaging.
  • Monitor and Document Progress: Track student progress through regular assessments and detailed documentation, reporting outcomes and updates to supervising therapists and educators.
  • Collaborate with Educational Teams: Work closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate therapeutic goals into the students' educational plans and daily routines.
  • Provide Support and Guidance: Offer support to students and families, including educating them about therapeutic activities and how to continue progress outside of therapy sessions.

    Qualifications:

  • Must meet all requirements set by local and state regulations for a COTA.
  • Experience working with special education students and their families is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

    Benefits:

  • Competitive Pay: $38-$42/hour, with weekly direct deposit.
