Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) – Full-Time | School-Based | Napoleonville, LA

Blazer Jobs is currently conducting interviews for a full-time Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) position with school districts in the Napoleonville, Louisiana area. We are seeking experienced, compassionate professionals who are committed to supporting student success through therapeutic interventions in a school-based setting.

Position Overview:

  • Location: Napoleonville, LA and surrounding school districts

  • Schedule: Full-Time, School Hours

  • Start Date: Immediate

  • Contract Duration: Current school year, with potential for renewal based on performance

    Required Qualifications:

    To be considered, applicants must meet the following Louisiana state and local credentialing requirements:

  • Associate’s degree from an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program

  • Active Louisiana COTA license issued by the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners (LSBME)

  • Current NBCOT certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)

  • School-based or pediatric experience preferred

  • Must pass all background checks and school district onboarding processes

    Typical Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist

  • Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ educational needs

  • Address fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation skills

  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and collaborate with team members

  • Participate in IEP meetings and assist in developing student goals and accommodations

  • Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care
