Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) – Full-Time | School-Based | Lovington, NM
Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for a full-time position in school districts located in the Lovington, New Mexico area. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate professional to provide meaningful support to students in a school-based setting.

Contract Term: Current school year, with potential renewal based on performance
Qualifications – Required for Consideration:
Applicants must meet the following New Mexico state and local requirements:
Associate’s degree from an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Active COTA license issued by the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department – Board of Occupational Therapy
NBCOT certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)
School-based or pediatric experience preferred
Must meet all applicable background and fingerprinting requirements for New Mexico public schools
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide therapy services to students under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
Support students in achieving their IEP goals through targeted intervention strategies
Address fine motor development, sensory integration, self-care skills, and classroom task participation
Maintain accurate progress notes and service logs
Collaborate with school staff, families, and other support professionals
Participate in IEP meetings and assist with treatment planning and implementation
