Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – School-Based

Are you ready to make a real difference in kids' lives while having fun at work? We're looking for an enthusiastic Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our school-based team! If you’re passionate about helping children succeed in the classroom and in life, enjoy being part of a collaborative team, and thrive on creativity, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for providing direct therapy services under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT). You'll get to help students with everything from fine motor skills and handwriting to sensory processing and self-care tasks. Your creative strategies will help them gain the skills they need to feel confident and independent in school!

Collaboration is key! You’ll be working closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement therapy strategies that fit into the daily routine of each student. You’ll even get to use adaptive tools and technology to make learning and activities more accessible and fun for everyone involved.

But it’s not all about therapy—documentation matters, too! You’ll track student progress, update records, and ensure everything stays on point with state and federal guidelines. Plus, you’ll have a voice at IEP meetings, where you’ll help develop personalized goals that truly support each student’s success.

What We’re Looking For:

To be a perfect fit for this role, you need an Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistance and an active COTA license in your state. Experience in school-based or pediatric therapy is a bonus, but more importantly, we’re looking for someone with a can-do attitude and the ability to get creative with solutions.

You’ll need to be a strong communicator, organized, and adaptable to the ever-changing classroom environment. Being a team player and knowing how to make therapy engaging and fun for kids is a must!

Why You’ll Love It Here:

  • Competitive pay and benefits (we know that matters)
  • Paid school holidays and time off (hello, vacation days!)
  • Opportunities to grow your skills and stay updated on new therapies and tools
  • A supportive team that will always have your back and help you thrive
  • The chance to make a huge impact in the lives of students—one fun session at a time

This is a 100% on-site role—so no remote work here, just real-time connections with real students. If you're excited to make therapy enjoyable, impactful, and part of the daily school experience, apply today!
