Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) for a full-time role with school districts in the Yuma, AZ area. We are looking for passionate professionals dedicated to supporting students in achieving their occupational therapy goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans for students with various needs.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, focusing on improving their functional abilities and daily living skills.
  • Conduct assessments and help monitor progress in collaboration with the supervising occupational therapist.
  • Adapt and modify therapeutic activities to meet individual student needs and goals.
  • Document student progress and maintain accurate records as required by school and state regulations.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities and routines.
  • Promote a positive and supportive environment that encourages student engagement and success.

    Qualifications:

  • Valid COTA license in Arizona.
  • Experience working with children, preferably in a school or clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy principles, techniques, and interventions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
  • Ability to work under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation.
