Job Description: We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our school-based team in Yuma, AZ. As a COTA, you will support students with disabilities in improving their daily living skills and enhancing their overall educational experience.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.

Provide direct therapeutic interventions to students to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities.

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to facilitate student participation in school activities.

Monitor student progress and document outcomes to inform the Occupational Therapist and educational team.

Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of student goals.

Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Current Arizona COTA license and certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

Experience working in a school setting is a plus but not required.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
