Key Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a COTA in Connecticut
  • Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly preferred
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to travel between multiple school locations as needed
  • Major Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions that promote student success, independence, and participation in school routines
  • Work closely with licensed occupational therapists to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support classroom integration
  • Monitor progress and document student outcomes with careful attention to detail
  • Provide direct and consultative services for a diverse K-12 caseload, adapting strategies for varied needs
  • Foster positive relationships with students and staff, contributing to a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • This role offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, totaling 35 hours per week from the end of August through early June. You'll have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully across multiple educational sites and see firsthand the difference your professional skills make.
