Overview:
We are currently hiring Occupational Therapists (OT) and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) for full-time positions near San Bernardino, CA. These roles will support students across various grade levels within a school environment, helping them improve their fine motor skills, sensory processing, and overall ability to succeed in the classroom. While school-based experience is preferred, it’s not required. Bilingual candidates (Spanish) are also encouraged to apply, but this is not a mandatory qualification.

Key Responsibilities for Occupational Therapists (OTs):

  • Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students based on their unique needs.
  • Provide therapy sessions to improve students’ motor skills, coordination, and classroom participation.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to support students’ academic and functional goals.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing insights to ensure students are receiving appropriate services.
  • Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and progress for each student.

    Key Responsibilities for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs):

  • Assist in implementing occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of an OT.
  • Work directly with students in group or individual therapy sessions, helping them achieve their goals.
  • Document student progress and report feedback to the supervising OT.
  • Support teachers in modifying classroom activities to ensure student participation.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with educators to support students.

    Qualifications for OTs:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • California Occupational Therapy license.
  • Experience in a school setting is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills.

    Qualifications for COTAs:

  • Associate’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • California COTA license.
  • Prior experience working with children is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively under the supervision of an OT.

    Preferred but Not Required:

  • Bilingual Spanish proficiency is a plus for both OTs and COTAs.
