Position: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
Location: Near Edmond, Oklahoma
Caseload: K-12 students, school-based setting
Start Date: Immediate

Job Overview:
We are hiring a motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work in schools near Edmond, OK. As a COTA, you'll play a key role in helping students improve their functional and academic performance by implementing therapeutic interventions designed by an occupational therapist. This position is ideal for someone passionate about working with children and supporting their physical, social, and emotional development in an educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the occupational therapist in executing individualized treatment plans aimed at improving students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills.

Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapeutic activities into classroom routines.

Document student progress and maintain accurate therapy records.

Support the occupational therapist during IEP meetings and contribute to discussions on student progress.

Ensure compliance with school district policies and state regulations regarding therapy services.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited COTA program with current Oklahoma state licensure.

Previous experience in a pediatric or school setting is preferred.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams.
