Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) Job

Active Florida COTA license

Must meet all local and state regulations for school-based practice

Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred

Previous school-based or pediatric therapy experience strongly encouraged

Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills

Primary Job Responsibilities:

Provide direct therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)

Assist licensed Occupational Therapists in developing and implementing therapy plans

Support students in developing functional life skills, motor coordination, and sensory processing abilities

Document and monitor student progress in compliance with district and state guidelines

Collaborate with educators, parents, and school teams to meet student goals

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student support strategies

Promote inclusive practices and accessibility within classroom and school environments
